Williamson County: Franklin Gove has a new site plan presented by The Heritage Foundation.

The project includes a museum of art, an entrepreneur center and a relocated historic school building. As anticipated, the new rendering does not include an onsite event space. Residents opposed previous proposals for an event space at the site, saying it would create excessive noise and traffic for residential streets near the downtown core.

Instead, the Heritage Foundation plans to renovate the McConnell House property, which it acquired in May, into the History and Culture Center of Williamson County, Tennessee.

Heritage Foundation CEO Bari Beasley said the McConnell House's rentable space will give the group another revenue stream to fund the Franklin Grove project, which was their original vision for an event space.
