Williamson County: Franklin's Ovation site (145 acres at SE corner of East McEwen Drive and Carothers Parkway) will have a couple new partners teaming up with primary owner, Highwoods Properties, to develop the site. Toro Development and Ignite Realty Partners are coming on board. Highwoods will be in charge of the office portion; Toto will oversee the mixed-use village, and Ignite will be the leasing  agent for all of it.

Under the original master plan in 2015, Ovation was approved for 1.4 million square feet of office, over 400,000 square feet of retail, 950 residential units, 450 hotel rooms and 56 acres of green space — a plan that will be reimagined but will stay high-density, according to a Highwoods news release from October 2021.

Montgomery County:  Clarksville's Microvast Holdings is going to add another 65,000 sq. ft. factory for electric vehicle batteries that will bring at least 250 more jobs.

Sumner County: Gallatin's downtown Palace Theater (built in 1913 with a 198 capacity) has received a grant of $50,000 from the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Business Development.  An additional $5,001 from Historic Downtown Gallatin will be contributed to the overall $59,000 preservation project.

It's been nice having an almost car free picturesque area to walk, jog, etc over the past half decade.

Sumner County: White Shops will be a 20 acre shopping center at Hwy. 76 and Raymond Hirsch Parkway featuring a 48,000 sq. ft. grocery store that might be a Publix, as well as other retail slots. Sembler company is the developer.

Hopefully, the Northern suburbs gets more developed. The amenities up there are severely lacking.

Rutherford County: Smyrna will see Vintage Stonetrace (4 stories, 325 units, 14 office suites,  $80 million) near I-24 being developed by TDK Construction. Opening is slated for summer of 2024.

Dickson County: Dickson will see a new 14 bed, 15,000 sq. ft. $17 million intensive care complex at the TriStar Horizon campus. Ground will be broken this week, and it should be complete in late 2023.

Wilson County: Lebanon will see construction start next week on Carver Lane, a 3 story, 59 unit townhome project ay 106 Carver Lane. Omos Lebanon LLC is the developer. The plan is to be open by summer of 2023.
