The site of Johnny Cash's lakefront home in Hendersonville, as well as the ranch house he built for his mother across the street are up for sale at $3.95 million.   The famous 14,000 sq. ft. log house was destroyed by fire in 2007, but 4.5 acre site is beautiful waterside property. Mama Cash's house has been nicely remodeled (I toured it about 4 years ago).  Got to spend a few minutes alone in the small bedroom where Johnny passed away.  One of his favorite acoustic guitars was leaning in the corner. Humbling.

A plan for 48 townhomes and two commercial lots has been submitted in Mt. Juliet for the Cedar Creek Sports Center site that is a landmark on Lebanon Road.

The Cedar Creek Sports Center is known for its putt-putt golf, driving range, batting cages, go-karts and other offerings on the north side of the city.

The plan will need approval on a land use amendment and rezoning to move forward, according to planning officials.

That ticks me off to no end.  That place is a lot of fun, a great place to take the kids, and won't break the bank.  It's one of the few things of the like which remain in Mt. Juliet.  The roller rink was taken from us years ago, and now this?  For more townhomes?  There's so much empty land to build on!

The Streets of Indian Lake shopping plaza in Hendersonville is getting a massive $2.5 million renovation that will include an outdoor music venue and picnic area.

The renovation project is expected to be completed in early May. The mall's owners, U.S. Properties Group, said in a press release that they will be building a large high-tech staging area, with a grassy hillside designed for lounging.

Why didn't any of the Big 3 ( Belk Dillard's or Macy's) move in out there?  A great alternative to Rivergate...
