Sumner County: Lethbridge Academy has broken ground on their 2nd Sumner location at Durham Farms in Hendersonville.  The $4 million facility will open in late winter of 2022. at 351 Azalea Circle.

Rutherford County: Vi-Jon, a health care products company, will be making a $45 million  expansion to their plant at 1 Swan Drive in Smyrna that will include 64 new employees to the 600 already on their payroll.

I never go down there anymore, but if I have it UC , then it very well may be UC and needs to be changed. I have got three more editors for the map, but we are having a hard time getting together for a zoom call dur to Bobs work schedule. So the map will be getting updates at some point. We just need to crazy person in Cool Springs to let us know what is going on.

Biometrics, a startup medical marketing company, has plans to hire 140 people in the next few years at their new offices in the Franklin Park development near Cool Springs. Founder Charles Carroll believes they could be at 1,000 employees within 3 years.

None taken. Just figured I could provide a little insight as to what’s going on around here. I try to keep up as well as I can, but most of these you guys actually keep up with pretty well. The apartments of Carothers Crossing West look to be coming along very nicely and it appears that they’re starting the retail portions of that project now. 
 

The Mack Hatcher extension from Hillsboro Rd to Highway 96 west is almost complete too. I’ll keep a lookout as I’m driving around.

Oh snap. To me this is interesting,  For those who don't know Charles Carroll created a company called MorphoTrust, which was bought out by a private equity firm(short story version), which changed the name to IDEMIA. The firm really didn't like working with Carroll from a personally standpoint (Carrol was a Chicago beat cop).  So they outed him over a year ago or so. So his new company is putting the crosshairs on his old company since PreCheck is a huge revenue driver for them.  All I can say is lol

Random side fact, First Watch is also majority owned by that equity firm; Advent International.

Very excited about this project, just wish it was already here. I think just the entryway bridge is supposed to take over a year per the last news release I read. Which put Phase I for the park late 2023. I know the above shows a paved greenway as well, which supposedly will run all the way to downtown. That is a dream of mine, but I am guessing that is a long ways away.

Publicly traded Kaiser Aluminum (KALU) is moving its headquarters from Southern California to McEwen Office Park in Franklin and bring 80 jobs with it. It will rank among Williamson's 15 largest public companies.

Yeah, unfortunately it’s going to take a while it seems; but this entire section of Franklin already looks so nice, and I really can’t wait to see how this one turns out. Carothers Parkway is going to be crazy in a few years.

I'm also very excited about this one. I moved down close to this area a few months ago and I drive by the bridge construction once or twice each day; seams like things are moving along okay relative to the timeline of this one. Does anyone have any news about the about the potential Children's Science Center going in on Carothers Parkway? I can't seem to find anything new on it since 2019 when they approved the rezoning.
