Wilson County: Sage Legacy LLC developer is planning Park Avenue Apartments  (nine buildings of 3 stories featuring 180 units, and 18 townhomes) on 7 acres on the west side of Baddour Pkwy across from James E. Ward Agricultural Center.  This is part of a transit-oriented plan around a future commuter train station.

Hopefully now that the State fair is going to be held at the Wilson County Fairgrounds, and the State has mentioned it will help with some infrastructure around the fairgrounds. This area of Lebanon will start to develop, it would be great to see some restaurants and hotels and like this project more dense residential. The Fairgrounds and Expo Center are great venues that could be a catalyst for economic growth of this area. How about some family oriented activities like go-cart tracks and arcades , mini-golf …etc. if they put in a train station, how bout a shuttle/ tram to the fairgrounds for events, bring people in without the traffic and parking issues. We can have our own Pigon Forge!!!

Williamson County:  The increased likelihood of development of one property and impending sale of another have complicated construction logistics for a proposed overpass of Interstate 65 in Franklin.

The land in question is a 257,000-square-foot vacant lot cupped in the nook of Long Lane next to the Williamson County Agriculture Expo Center. Per staff recommendation and at the behest of Franklin City Administrator Eric Stuckey, the Capital Investment Committee unanimously voted last week to send a resolution to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen that prioritizes the acquisition of an easement on the so-called Rambo property before it sells.

City officials saved deliberation on two of three options for how to reconfigure Long Lane east of the overpass for separate consideration. All three options for that part of the project calls for bifurcating the Rambo lot.

It appears the "dead-end" intersection has the most development, but the roundabout intersection definitely provides a great option for this spot. With the potential development to the east here, having the roundabout may be the better, forward thinking design.
