Anybody know what the PVC pipes behind the retaining wall are about?  Is it a watertable thing?

There is a couple levels of underground parking for the hole is deep on this building. 2nd photo shows new Holiday Inn Express hotel site as well as tower crane for Dimensional Funds building.

Yes, that is the dewatering system.  The natural groundwater table on this site is only approximately 10 feet below the roadway elevation.

Still working on underground parking garage but this one should start coming above grade soon. Today and this is going really have a huge impact on the skyline south of uptown.

30 wires on that one pole? So many I may be off one or two. That pole is doing some yeoman work. Bury it.

Todays update on my June photos of this new tower which will usher in the new office district called SouthEnd.  With RailYard and others on the planning and developing board to come.  Up to floor 1 of 8 or is it 9 floors? I can't remember.

Looking at some of Cousins's other properties with the same square footage,  I would suspect around 9-10 stories high.

I think it is just 7 stories according to Ely's article about the new 20 story tower in Elizabeth announced today.   Not sure on the actual height though it seems taller.

With this and the proposed 20 Story the Skyline south of Uptown will soon be expanding. I hope these two buildings are catalyst for taller buildings South of Uptown.

While I can hardly do BOMA calcs using google earth, it looks like there used to be about 20,800 SF of retail space on the site before. Now they're offering up 15,945.

I am not sure if there was that much, but I will say, that for 5+ years before this project was announced, there was no where near 15,945 sqft occupied/used on that lot.

Just for reference, the Common Market in Plaza Midwood is about 3500 sqft (according to google maps are measurements).

What did you have in mind?

I am pretty sure if someone put together a well thought out plan and presented it to the City, then keep lobbying for the next 5+ years, they would be willing to talk about the option... #efficient #sarc

When my oldest son attended Montessori in this area, it was kind of crappy.  It has truly transformed and is now very impressive. This project is really amazing.
