Yes... Cousins develops to notch buildings.... typically partnering with Duda Paine architects.....hoping we get another Uptown soon

Cousins just had it's Q3 earnings call meeting. Everything is going exceptionally well for them.

https://seekingalpha.com/article/4214783-cousins-properties-inc-cuz-ceo-larry-gellerstedt-q3-2018-results-earnings-call-transcript

Some excerpts:

Collin Connolly: "Our Uptown portfolio is well positioned, with 99% occupancy rate and modest near-term expirations. This quarter, our team signed over 80,000 square feet of leases, the most significant of these being a long-term extension with Fifth Third Bank at Fifth Third Center. Over in the South End, we are on track to deliver Dimensional Place in the first quarter of 2019."

Larry Gellerstedt: "And I -- we're looking at a site that I'm optimistic about to add in Charlotte that I would hope may become actionable sometime next year."

It appears they are extremely bullish in CLT as a market.

Edit: I just saw that @atlrvr posted about this already but I'll leave mine here.

Rental brochure for the retail space available at Dimensional Funds building.   Seems to be 3 spots unless they break up the larger 8000+ sq ft spot into another space.  Leasing by Foundry.

They will break it up, and MPV was doing the leasing and dumped them, because clearly they couldn't get any tenants.

^^^ That is great news and Cousins strategy is to build buildings with office tenants lined up so that is a great sign to hear they will be making announcement soon.  Their new NCR building in midtown Atlanta is beautiful  as are the Terminus towers in Buckhead.

Here is their NCR tower https://www.cousins.com/property/ncr

One might say the commitment by Dimensional Funds to this building started the big office boom in South End.  (this and 1616 Camden but this Dimensional Funds Advisers in the largest tenant in SouthEnd office market so far)

My favorite building outside of uptown today.

I think I'm going to start a go fund me to make sure you always have the cleanest windshield for pictures.

This building looks great when close up and at street level, but it looks really bad from South Boulevard.
That large grey long box on top looks terrible - Too bad the glass does not extend up far enough to
block the view of the components on top of the building.

Photos? Last time I was in town the box on top looked like it’d shape up nicely. A lot nicer than the barely sheathed chillers not so hidden atop 300 South Tryon.

sorry I did not get a pic,  but look back 1 page at the
Nov. 5th post from Nicholas and zoom in on the first pic to see what I am talking about -

I noticed it as I passed on South Blvd. the other day - all in all a great building though - but I wish the glass had gone a little higher to screen

(or block) the view of this thing on top of the building - all the other pics on the previous page are so sleek and clean
