Can' t imagine that anyone actually has a pic of the old Mozingo Tire Store that was on this property before the food trucks and the market but I'd love to compare before/afters.

I think there's a better historical aerial view tool but a quick search I found this from 1/15/1967!

I find it interesting the area on S Church and Kee may look relatively identical in the future with town homes being built.  And on Bland where the Railyard is going there looked to be small single family homes there as well.  Pretty cool!

Spotted what looks like a sample of the facade that will be fronting Tryon.  These are sitting in their lot across the street.  Gives you an idea of what the materials and colors will look like on this building.

You know I was all for this building but now that I know that the facade will be covered by white Honda Accords I'm a little pissed off.   

Sorry, I saw my chance and ran with it.   I think this project is great.

That facade looks pretty good, especially if they're still planning on mixing wood into it.

On another note, does anyone in construction know how long the supports/scaffolding under the concrete flooring stay up?

Concrete has to cure... Its been a while since I have done a cast in place structural slab, but typical concrete cures out in 28 days.  They may leave the shoring up  so that they can work on it sooner.

Very true.  When the renderings were first posted I had no idea how much of a presence this thing would have.  When I was sitting at the red light heading into Uptown I was checking out the huge columns at the Camden Tryon intersection and they already look pretty dramatic despite being obstructed by the scaffolding.

Have been out of town a lot so wanted to drive by and see this for myself.  It is really going to be signature building for South End.  (I slipped one photo of the new Holiday Inn Express a block away) Plus this a lot more space for just 200 jobs they will be really growing probably doubling or tripling that announced job number.

The power lines on Tryon and Camden will go away. The power transmission line on W Park is being debated right now. Duke doesn't want to move it but the owners want it gone.

I count 30+ wires total on the pole at left and near two poles on right

This building will have one of the best views of the skyline from anywhere as it looks right up Tryon and you can see it from Legacy and even further up Tryon.  Today.  3rd photo is of Holiday Inn Express

Nothing really new to add but a different view, it looks like another concrete pour day despite the weather and the scaffolding is starting to come down on the lower floors.

The floors are truly high, 163 feet for 8 floors is wonderful, will you be able to see it from afar?
