Is there retail space on the other end of the building?

Yes. Same end as federal courthouse. You can see the entrance for it at the bottom left of the building in the below pic between the white car and S. Irvine Street:

No recent posts for this but wanted to give accolades for appearance. The structure is very impressive...lighting & signage at night is superb & looks beautiful. I hope it’s doing very well as it’s a great addition to downtown.

You’re right— It is well done on the exterior and interior (well, at least the lobby and restaurant from what I’ve seen).

Agreed, and how it fills the block is impressive. Definitely a great structure.

I think last count was 12 or 13, and that does not include ones under construction or planned, such as Grand Bohemian, Comfort Inn (Pete Hollis), or Klimpton. Seems like there is another planned as well, Rhett or Markely maybe?

1. Homewood Suites by Hilton Greenville Downtown

2. Hampton Inn & Suites Greenville-Downtown-RiverPlace

3. Embassy Suites by Hilton Greenville Downtown Riverplace

4. Courtyard by Marriott Greenville Downtown

5. The Westin Poinsett Greenville

6. Hyatt Place Greenville/Downtown

7. Aloft Greenville Downtown

8. Residence Inn by Marriott Greenville Downtown

9. SpringHill Suites by Marriott Greenville Downtown

10. Hyatt Regency Greenville

11. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Greenville Downtown

12. Home2 Suites by Hilton Greenville Downtown

Did I miss any? Three more planned that you mentioned. The Klimpton is planned for Rhett and Markley.

Is the hotel planned near Fluor Field no longer in the works (on the other side of the train tracks from the Field House)?

Also, spelling: Kimpton**

I forgot about that hotel, not sure of the status? And can I blame the spelling error on distortedlogic?  :D

You’re all missing the AC Hotel at Camperdown.  Can’t forget about the Embassy Suites planned for the museum/conference center also.

Impressed how my original post has morphed into an interesting  blog about downtown hotels...this is a great website (most of the time)
