Kent Companies officially "topped off" their concrete work on Warner Tower in the last week or so.  We should expect to see the steel office structure go up pretty quickly on this building now.

That really is a cool video.

So the elevator shaft is as tall as the building's going to be?  Lame

I think the photo is a bad angle. It looks pretty tall sticking up by itself. It’ll blend in with the surrounding structures, but add a lot of density. And we’ve known for a few years that it isn’t going to really change the skyline much. Still great infill.

That's not the parking ramp, the office portion goes all the way to the ground floor on that section. Parking is that section to the left.

Was wondering why they would put glass over a parking garage. Seems like it would become a gas chamber with all that carbon monoxide being trapped.

It will probably be vented.  I'm glad they are putting glass over it and at least somewhat conceal it, unlike most of the projects around here.

Strange, watching that section go up, it looked like it would be just a contiguous parking deck, but looking back a few pages at the renderings, and especially the fly-through video, it's pretty obvious that you are right.

Has there been news of any other tenants signing on for those lower levels of the Warner building?

I think it's full other than the some of the ground level (which you'd expect to come much later). WNJ, Chemical Bank and one other tenant (that I can't remember off-hand).

This morning they had Ottawa completely closed between Lyon &pearl even though the road through there seemed empty. No warning signs about the closure being ahead, though, and Ottawa just northwas reduced down to only one lane right before the intersection, with people sneaking through the cones to make a left turn anyway. Lyon was completely backed up from the surprise detour traffic. That intersection was in chaos, felt like a road in New Delhi. Any idea when it will open back up?
