YES THIS.  Desperately needed.  This street shouldnt be zoned like a 24-hour gas station at a lonely cross street off of I26.  There is residential all over the place and Its the connective in-fill between downtown and the next areas identified as growth hubs.

Yeah, kind of like the area around Stone Avenue where 24 hour establishments like Waffle House and QT don’t exist right? Right? I mean aren’t zoning laws just perfect? ;)

Heard today that the McDonald building at 914 Pendleton St is going to be a restaurant. Building will be preserved and a new office building will wrap around it. Project site extends to Perry Ave. And Academy Street. Office building will be three stories most likely but possibly four and has at least one tenant lined up.

Citgo station at. Pendleton and Mallard is under contract as well in an unrelated transaction.

Anybody have any renderings? Site grading now underway.

Does this have to go through the DRB or is it out of their jurisdiction?  I like how the site plan and renderings are made public that way.   $6M sounds like a lot to me.  Does that indicate this might be a fairly high quality project?  Crossing fingers its a Taco Boy restaurant that is included.

Two stairwell structures now going up next to McDonald building. Judging by the height of them, this may be 4 stories instead of 3.

Are they going on either side of the building thats currently there?  I am really curious now.  It looks like they are building on top of what is there.  Would love to see an elevation of the project
