Nice shots.  Interesting to note that the new building is eliminating one of the last essentially unobstructed views of the Capitol Building from the south bank of the river.

Will be interesting to see how it fits in overall with the skyline, given that it is significantly smaller than the building originally proposed for the site.

Wow!  Almost halfway there to being topped out!!  But no one would know it unless you were at ground zero because the building is so squatty.  It’s still also very hideous.

Still curious as to how they are connecting this with the Canal Walk. As it looks now, it will be a blank concrete wall...no interaction with the canal at all except perhaps through access.

I really like it, actually.

The placement is bad but it’s an attractive building (cosmopolitan) in person.  The surface is brilliant white and the glass is really shinny.   If this was being built in Monroe Ward or Scott’s Addition it  would probably have a lot more fans.   It’s a good building.   But it’s built in a bad location.

Here are some photos I took, which don’t do it justice.   The addition of the top “floor” seems to be helping with proportions.   Maybe I’ll walk down tomorrow and get some shots from the Byrd Street side ( the most finished side so far, I snapped the one photo while exiting the RMA).

I am still not a fan and think it's cheap looking. When I have been by, you can already see the surface getting stained by weather. I just don't think it will age well. I am glad more residents are being added, but that's about all I can say positive.

I think it’s a pretty smart looking building.  Again, this isn’t the best place for it because it does not play well with the hideous postmodern pink buildings beside it.

Its just a classic, international looking city apartment building.   Reminds me of residential blocks in  Buenos Aries.   Here’s what I’m refeffring to (of course they’ve added a splash of colour, like  how elegant people do).  I took these on a recent trip there.

I take exception to that, Riverfront Plazas I and II are one of my favorite parts of the skyline. Twin towers that look pretty sharp and with a unique design
