I think it is safe to assume that any large scale project with a 10 year build projection will have adjustments to market forces over such a timeline.

I wasn't even thinking of a Swamp Rabbit Connection when looking at the below picture initially until I read this article.  Looking forward to seeing how they make this modification, I think running a SWT outlet into a green space boardwalk could be super nice! Probably makes sense to make the connection near the roundabout close to the Church Street Bridge.

As much as people want to laugh about the height....at least it looks a bit different. I am tired of the red brick/textile mill throwback look that has been prevelent for the past few years.

The building looks pretty nice and I'll take it over a five story brick box but there is nothing about this building that is a "tower." 

A pet peeve I guess but it is beyond silly everytime these writers call anything over 3 floors a tower. Surely, to be called a tower, a building needs to stick out, or at least have a taller height than base.

First a green wooden fence will be erected to keep people out as a temporary sheild until a project can be finalized within a couple of years.

So are the county offices still moving are will they stay put since this is another failed project. Thought they had leased a building?

There is no reason to believe this project is dead. Earthmoving equipment isn't required after the earth has been moved as required.  RocaPoint is on the hook to build this building or face serious default of the agreement. 

The county didn't lease a building to replace the DVM, et al, it BOUGHT one, and it closed in March.

You know the economy is bad when a taxpayer funded project has come to a complete halt. No high rises, no corporate headquarters, no tower cranes...nothing. Sad times.
