LOL...I like #6....would look awesome overshadowing downtown and appear so out of character for Greenville.

3 would make for great views :D

There is a definite cool factor for 6, pretty cool. DRB will be all about some 4 and 5 though! Book it!

Cute.  Too bad the "University of Hawaii" label on one of them gives it away.

Good point, though; it would be great to have beautiful and amazing architecture in this development.  Why can't Greenville have something beautiful like a replica of a section of the West End of London, a Central European square, etc., in it--something that would be jaw-droppingly beautiful?  Hopefully we won't get more 2010-era boxes like we're getting all around the rest of downtown.

I expect we'll get another McBee Station, which is fine, though.

Unfortunately, county officials still are not saying much. Expect a G-News story shortly though.

Greenville County capital projects: $35.1M for 2018 and $49.9M for 2019. Admin says most $ goes toward County Square redevelopment.

Wow. That is a lot of money.

Mt. Pleasant's new Town Hall cost around $34 million...and that is for a staff for a population of 80,000.

And no health clinic or Transportation Study or Ambulance Station.

The land sale is to pay for the new building, or so I thought.

Looks as though the county is in no rush to make a decision. I'm thinking they won't announce anything until all the details are ironed out which will probably be late August/early September.

Oh well.

I think you're right. Not really a bad thing though. This site is wayyy to important to rush the process. Both developers that are confirmed to still be in the running have a large portfolio and good financial backing.

Hmm...makes me wonder if there're attempting to add affordable housing to remaining developer plans. Was anything decided/advised about this publicly?

Don't count on seeing affordable housing on this site: http://www.greenvilleonline.com/story/news/2017/06/03/county-square-redevelopment-proposal-would-offer-affordable-housing/366024001/
