Some slight adjustments to the design of the hotel were approved by MDHA today. There will be a few more metal panels instead of glass. Also the balconies on the southeast side have been removed due to safety concerns with proximity to pool underneath.

The Gulch is also getting a pocket park, which you can see to the right of this building in the rendering.  This park will be privately owned (Marketstreet).  Also, this building has no designated parking spaces, though they say there's plenty of parking available under the Thompson Hotel.

I fell like this started yesterday. Crazy how quick they were able to blast and dig this one out. 

Prediction: relatively nice square to the left of that excavator will be crane base, just a guess
