The Dutch restaurant inside the W Hotel will open on Wed. Oct. 6th. It will serve breakfast, dinner, and weekend brunch, with lunch coming laster in the fall.  It will. have 153 seats, and an additional 76 on the outdoor wrap-around patio.

The W Hotel officially opened yesterday.

The W hotel has 286 guest rooms, 60 suites and 24,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel also has 26,000 square feet of outdoor space, from lounge space near the Barista Parlor to Proof, a rooftop bar with a view of downtown Nashville.

On the second floor rooftop, Spanish steps lead to a 2,000-square foot pool with a poolside bar and cabanas. The 10,000-square-foot pool deck is the largest hotel pool space in Nashville, according to the property.

These have sliding doors to close off the bathroom if desired. I think it’s pretty cool.

I went with friends to the rooftop bar on Saturday. Very nice with great views. Overheard the busy bartender admitting they were understaffed, with folks taking jobs but then not showing up. The staff, we did encounter, all impressed. Warning in that they were limiting entry, I imagine due to the lack of staff as there were plenty of empty seats.

I still can't believe Nashville is getting a Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton on top of this W hotel opening. I swear its gonna start rivaling Miami for luxury hotels soon enough. I told my aunt in Winston-Salem (she is on the city council there and trying to push the city in a similar way that Bredesen and Karl Dean did for Nashville) about this hotel opening and she was antsy to return to the city (she has not been to Nashville since 2007 so I said brace yourself lol)

I recently stayed at the Edition Miami (great hotel btw) and a bellman told me that their manager and several staff left to open W Nashville. He said they went on and on about how great Nashville is.

Carne Marie, an Italian chophouse will officially open in The W Hotel on Friday, Nov. 12th.  It will accommodate 84 guests, with another 40 person patio space. It will employ 50 people.

I was at Proof Saturday night.  Great drinks and great food. I looked spectacular in there. My outfit was poppin, my mug was snatched, shoes and walk fit for a Paris runway,  and my accessories were stamped.

Said it before and saying it again.  This is my absolute favorite current development.  So cool to see that the inside is just as exquisite as the outside.  Officially saving pennies to afford my stay here next visit!!!
