Photos of progress as of 1/31 - when you hear three horn sounds, hold on!   Views of W-Hotel work site and adjoining project site from 1212 condominium.

I think at street level it (the 'W') will be just fine. The sidewalk experience is what's most important about the Gulch, not the skyline. My gosh, the Thompson Hotel at street level looks like the fa

Don't like the big ballroom thingy (I assume it's a ballroom anyway) on the corner, but if executed properly with the right materials, that could make a handsome building.

Yeah, that entire section would be better utilized if they sold it to someone to put something else on, rather than occupying that prime real estate with that awkward-looking appendage.

Oh, well... This is still a win for us, I say!

So, these are old renderings, correct?  It would seem so, in that there doesn't seem to be enough square footage to accommodate 250 luxury hotel rooms/suites and 200 luxury residential units that were in the announcement and sketches 2 weeks ago.  This design seems to be more of a hotel only, with a rather substantial ballroom/meeting space annex on the north end.
