It will be just in the fenced-off portion, right? Looks very narrow. So is the back portion of that lot going to be that 5-story retro looking office building announced a few months back?

Yes.  The parking lot with the cars in it will be a 5-story office building.  The left 30% of that lot, hidden behind the tree, will be a pocket park.

The lot for the W Hotel looks a lot bigger if you see it from 11th Ave S.

Has anybody seen the final plans for the W Hotel with elevations, number of floors and ultimate height in feet when topped off?   Are the plans available on any Metro website?  Seems a complex work site with a steep slope and obvious bedrock.  Will the number of floors be counted beginning on the lower side (towards 11th Avenue) Thanks!

Hmmmm, no telling what is on the first few pages of this thread. I am going to be walking out the door but I will bet another Mod by the name of Mark may have info somewhere. There are a number of renderings that are on the thread that give you some different perspectives.

Welcome to the forum PaulR. So glad we hkeep adding folks to the board. Make it a point to take the time to check out the first few pages of threads although that may take a month or two now. JK.

We do have a monthly meet up the first Saturday of the month and there is a thread named the Dave Luna forum thread.

Construction question: What are those pads used for. They look like think rubber layers (almost like tires) stacked together in rectangular shapes, resembling wooden pallets. I'm guessing they're used for traction. Anyone know their use?  The back-hoe bucket has one in the last (3rd) photo in Mark's photos from Nov. 22.

Those are heavy "blankets" utilized for blasting to keep shrapnel, excessive dust/smoke, etc. at bay during a controlled explosion.
