Yeah, that entire section would be better utilized if they sold it to someone to put something else on, rather than occupying that prime real estate with that awkward-looking appendage.

So, these are old renderings, correct?  It would seem so, in that there doesn't seem to be enough square footage to accommodate 250 luxury hotel rooms/suites and 200 luxury residential units that were in the announcement and sketches 2 weeks ago.  This design seems to be more of a hotel only, with a rather substantial ballroom/meeting space annex on the north end.

They cut that big tree on this lot down yesterday. Hopefully not just to make it uglier like the Virgin lot.

Pretty surprising because several new W properties are marketed as "Something W Hotel & Residences."

Sounds like it will basically be the same size structure, right?

As we have heard before, mixed use buildings such as this are hard to finance. All hotel makes it a lot easier. The article the TN has about the Hyatt said they turned away 62000 room nights in Nashville last year. That's how many request they had.
