It's very visible coming down Hawthorne lane between Parkwood and Central, it caught my eye on the way to work, I need to take a picture tomorrow.

This has a pretty commanding presence when you exit off John Belk and you're sitting at the South Blvd light. Perfectly fills a gap in the skyline.

I just hope they do a good job covering the chillers. That could be a real eye sore if they aren't.

Sail is coming along. Think the hvac will be behind similar panels like you see at the very top on the left being installed.

Yeah you already can't see it from the ground. It'll be covered up.

I love the mirrored glass on the Kimpton.  It looks quite sophisticated next to RB park, or at least it will once the 'office leasing' sign is gone.

I was in Phil's Deli Express early this morning talking to a construction guy.  He is a steel worker, currently working on what we at UP call the sail.  He called it something like the damn decoration some architect dreamed up.  He said they have 90 pieces yet to place, and they are doing about 10 a day.  He said it's a massive pain....the pieces arrive on a truck, and they're not right, so they have to make cuts and re-do them and whatever.  Plus it's (white?) aluminum but these guys are steel workers so that doesn't help?  Anyway, it was pretty funny.  He said all of them are ready to move on to the next job.

Barings CEO talks his company and new office in the 300 South Tryon building. One note I saw is current employment in Charlotte is 240 people and they will occupy 8 floors approx 200,000 sq ft.
