Miami has a skysraper with letters not sideways. 300 should consider that, but the tower is shorter than the one in Miami.

I see that tower all the time living in Miami, it even has a girl dancing on it sometimes, so glad Charlotte has this now, this is amazing!

Definitely a solid addition to the skyline. It it weren't for that all to visible parking podium I'd say the Ascent is growing on me too.

I couldn't get the shot early enough for the full view, but you can see the sail from Central Ave when you're going toward uptown as you continue left at the five points intersection at Central, Louise, and 10th. Preety sweet! (Squint your eyes)

You can see the sail around the 485 area too at South Tryon and also 77. Really cool.

Maybe I am seeing things but also love the lady standing in the middle of the road talking on her phone.

The name makes me think that the owners have never actually been to Charlotte and they dont know there's a real park called Romare Bearden Park across the street. Or maybe everything has to have "Tryon" attached to it like another city in the South does with fuzzy fruit.

Don't know about the hotel, but Tryon Park seems befitting for the new linear park immediately beside the hotel.

Tryon Park has a much better sounding name for the linear park and the hotel in my opinion.
