So...a question about Lifeway.  They had that huge campus, and I'm assuming much of that campus was taken up by printing facilities for church printing...correct?

Did the internet come along and change all of this?  Just wondering how they could go from 14 acres (or whatever it is)...to this one building?

Great question. The printing and distribution moved to a warehouse in Lebanon some years ago. Digital has certainly changed their footprint, but print is still big business.

They have less than 25% employees that they did years ago. Thanks to the Internet and modernization

I think the Southern Baptist Convention is struggling in general, not just Lifeway. I hear that overseas missionaries struggle to scrape by and some even have to return due to lack of funds.

Lifeway also has a warehouse near the upcoming Top Golf facility. I think the key reason for it all is that they realized downtown real estate is far to valuable to house a bunch of warehouses.

They'd make much more money using the land for surface parking. : shudder :

So you're saying they're building the parking deck AROUND the billboard pole?

Not saying this is actually what is going on, but have you ever seen a lot go through final grading with utility poles in the middle of it? The contractor doesn't wait for the poles to be moved, he just grades the site and leaves the poles on small piles of soil barely larger than the pole diameter itself.
