Tuesday evening at 8pm on WUCF (PBS Orlando, Ch. 24) there will be a one hour documentary that I think some here would enjoy watching, entitled "Ten Towns That Changed America".

It sounds like it's going to delve a lot into areas like urban planning, layout, design & amenities etc, what it is that makes these particular cities above average and how they influenced the layout and design of other cities and towns.

Of the cities on the list, I know of, there is Philadelphia, St. Augustine and Portland's Pearl District.

I caught it a portion of it.  What I watched was interesting for sure.

I caught part of the episode that featured Portland and their mass transit success.  It was pretty interesting.

I thought it was somewhat enlightening in terms of the history of city planning and certainly pertinent in terms of subject matter to this forum.

Better than anything else that was on that evening.
