Sir David Adjaye spoke about the Winter Park Library complex at the Guggenheim's The World Around Summit. There are some great construction shots, including close-ups of the facade textures which haven't been very well depicted in renderings.

That building looks better in person/video compared to the renderings. Way to go Winter Park!

The grocery anchor for Trelago in Maitland has not been announced, but OBJ spoke with some "real estate sources" that speculated Amazon Fresh or Wegman's.

The food store is 39,000 sqft and other retail makes up 24,000 sqft.

39k sf is waaaaay too tiny for a Wegmans. They’re usually 75-140k. Also, as small a chain as it is (100 stores), they’d be getting way  over their skis to jump from NC (where they’re just getting their toes damp) to FL. I’d kill for one, but it just doesn’t make sense logistically yet. Otoh, amazon Fresh already made noise about WP/Maitland, so that makes sense.

The new WP Library will be awesome in real life. This is such a great get for Winter Park. This architect is amazing. He is building a building that is naturally attuned to its surroundings of the Florida environment and the lakeside setting. It is evocative of the oak tree canopies and in tune with the sun.  It creates dynamic space and is symbiotic with the lake.  Fantastic design and wonderful to hear the architect express his inspiration and reasoning. Thanks!

And raked concrete against the natural environment in Florida works perfectly.

A sneak peek at the sculpture Rollins has commissioned featuring one of its most beloved alums, Fred Rogers:

I think this is definitely gonna be a new favorite.

A great sculpture of a great man! Can't wait to see the finished product.

Ava MediterrAegean, a high-end Mediterranean fusion affair which will take after its hipster sister eatery in SoBe, will be the replacement for Luma on Park Ave.

What a way we’ve come since Sentinel columnist Rob Morse, transplanted ever so briefly from San Francisco before decamping to the pretty people, once opined that a 7-Eleven on one end and a dinner theater on the other do not a Worth Avenue make.
