Well, I didn't think I was exactly leaping to conclusions when I assumed that's more or less what you were implying when you said that any building that isn't all glass is old and decrepit looking and not what people want.  But my apologies if I misunderstood you.  All the best.  Cheers.

If I counted correctly they are now pouring the first penthouse floor.  That means there are three levels to go plus the mechanical screen.  Since the penthouses are taller than regular floors this means we are about 60 feet from the top.  Yes/No?

That's also where I think we are but I'm not sure how exact that 60 feet measurement is.  That mechanical screen looks really tall in the render and it seems like we need to end up higher than the roof level of the Batman Building but quite a bit lower than the top of the spires.  I think your guess is pretty close though!

Not sure if the core is at full height or if there’s more to go…but as of right now, the top of the Four Seasons is above the roofline of Batman.  (I will note, however, that Four Seasons is about a block or so closer to the camera, so that may give it a slight height boost in appearance)

Hello all. My apologies in advance if this has already been answered. But, once the roof height is met, will there be any kind of decorative lattice of sorts (not sure what it's called) that would increase the visual height above the actual roof level?

If I'm counting correctly, we will still have the mechanical level and additional screening. Based on drawings, that will add about 25' over the ceiling of the 40th floor. The balconies start on the 27th floor, and I counted 11 poured floors, and 2 floors on the core, for a total of 40.

Yep! According to the drawings, there will be about 5' of decorative glass extending above the roofline of the mechanical level. It'll even have lighting strips on the north and south faces:

I went and looked at Alley's excellent photo posted yesterday in the photo thread, and it looks like the core is up to the 40th floor. Based on that, assuming plans haven't changed, I'd say another 20-25'.
