Downtown…about how many more feet do you think it will be above the current height of the core?

If indeed the central core is at the 40th floor level, according to the construction documents, there would be 46'-2" to go.. But with the normal core construction being concrete, it would be extraordinarily unusual for the remainder of the fire protected height to be of a different construction type.  If the concrete core is actually topped out, it would be at the level of the roof.  Stairs and elevator enclosures would virtually always extend to the roof level for continuity of fire protection, so if this actually is the top of the concrete, then there is only 5 of 6 feet of the mechanical screen to go above it.  So if the concrete core is really at the 40th floor level, they must have some issue for delaying two additional floors (the 40th and one mechanical floor).  Sorry to rain on the parade if this is the final core height in the photo.

I’m not sure if anyone is 100% on this being the top.

I may have miscounted or be completely mistaken, but I think the rising section is currently covering the 40th floor of the elevator core, which would mean that the current top of the core would be the ceiling of the 40th floor, leaving an additional 25’ or so of height for the mechanical floor and the additional screening.
