Looking forward to seeing this one start rising, but it's going to take some time to acclimate myself to not seeing the Market Street Apartments to my right when I make my way to the Downtown Library on Saturday mornings. I prefer to take Nolensville to 2nd Avenue then take a left onto Church... but I almost always seem to get stopped at 2nd x Demonbreun.

The land is so valuable (even more so after the Four Seasons is built) that it seems to make a lot of sense to build a 2nd tower down the road.

I'm convinced that explains the whole capitulation from BB&S's suit against their view (that's what it was).  They walked. I think they would build the second tower if market conditions are favorable to another apartment tower in the future.

The CVB should at least have a package of updated videos to play as bumpers between commercials for live TV programs from Nashville. I've been watching the SEC basketball tournament and FINALLY the SEC Network started showing actual current photos/videos of downtown.

It is now official that Four Season will be the hotel brand.  It will include 236 rooms, several fitness amenities, and a "world class spa" according to the developers.  Hotel rooms will occupy floors 5-11, with parking on lower levels (400 capacity).  The upper levels of the 40 story tower will be reserved for condos, which will also be managed by Four Seasons (still rumored to be 142 units).

There will also be an events center, ballrooms, several landscaped "green roofs," at least two restaurants, and 8,000 sq. ft. of ground floor retail space. 

A rooftop garden with walking paths for residents is planned for the 14th floor, and landscaped outdoor areas will be available to guests on the fifth, sixth and seventh levels.  "It will be one of the state’s greenest and tallest residential buildings." said Congress Group President Dean Stratouly.

Groundbreaking is scheduled for April.

I assume with proximity to the river, they won't be going underground almost at all with this one so it should start to rise ASAP.

I am overjoyed that this project is coming to fruition. Out of all the other tall proposed buildings, this is still my favorite one. It shows a lot of confidence in the Nashville hotel market that they are building a 500+ foot five star luxury hotel downtown. 

With this project under construction basically and the nashville yards skyscraper increasing in height, plus the paramount proposed, Nashville skyline is increasingly becoming taller and more urban, and in a way that fits the city well in my opinion. I would rather have several tall buildings in a city than one mega tall building that feels out of place, in my opinion it seems more impressive.

A friend who works in the Pinnacle building told me this weekend that the bottom level of the Pinnacle garage is flooded due to seepage and the river at a sustained high level.    The garage is expected to be that way until May, assuming river levels recede.

So per the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, 505 is 522 feet tall. I read something very recently mentioning the SAP buildings will be one of the tallest residential buildings in the state. Since this one looks to be *20 feet taller than 505, wouldn't it be the tallest residential building?
 

I've also read that the 505 is 545 feet tall. If so... 542 feet? Come on, you guys. Get that four feet of height and make this the tallest residential tower in Tennessee.

I think the final 505 "box" was disappointing to some because the earlier versions looked better. In this case, this box has pretty much always been a box. IMO this "box" has more of a top/crown albeit a very subtle one. 

I also notice that the more of Pinnacle's lower floors view will be blocked with the hotel wing.

Anybody else notice the north side of the project is designed in a way accommodate a future tower if the developers picked up the small lot they previously had under contract?

Just found out this is an image that no one really picked up on but is about a year or so old. There are new ones coming soon.
