Repurposed/revitalized historical buildings in Nashville

^ This is one of the historic buildings the owner proposed to sell to a developer a few years ago.     The developer planned to demolish it (along with one or two other homes of that era), which resulted in the temporary moratorium on new development on Music Row.     But, new development continues to march down 16th and 17th moving this direction.

Built in 1900, the 5 story, 19,005 sq. ft. one-time warehouse at 200 Broadway is currently home to Cotton Eyed Joe.  Would not be surprised if this gets a significant makeover into a more high end bar/entertainment venue in the not-too-distant future.  It would be nice to see the big windows reopened on the 2nd and 3rd floors facing Broadway.

This seems like the only space left on Broadway at this point that hasn’t been renovated.

Not sure who owns the Cotton Eyed Joe building, but I would love to see it renovated and the bricked in facade restored to the original window pattern.     The building would actually accommodate a nice boutique hotel, a la The Holston House, although the street noise at that location would be a big drawback for a hotel.

The Clementine event center is now open in the former West Nashville United Methodist Church at 4710 Charlotte Ave (also covered in this thread on3-17-17, 7-29-17, and 10-7-17). The 8,000 sq. ft. space was originally built in 1945.

Nice feature on how restoring the church organ was part of the process:

Nashville will be really lucky if any church that happens to close is renovated and given new life like this- what a beautiful building.

The one-time home of Word of Faith Church on at 2635 Nolensville Rd. is up for sale at $4.4 million. The 32,000 sq. ft. set of buildings was built in 1950. The seller has included a rendering of what it might look like converted to an event space, or other mixed use.

The former Meridian St. United Methodist/Ray of Hope Church in Cleveland Park at 901 Meridian St. (4 stories, 40,538 sq. ft., built in 1936) has been purchased for $4.5 million by Bond Collective, a NYC-based co-working space developer. The plan is to invest several million dollars to retrofit the space for co-working, as well as feature a food/beverage operation, small retail space, and perhaps a food hall or speakeasy.
