Perhaps some of you knew, but Marathon Village was used a rave venue back in the day.  A friend of mine stitched together this video from a tape of a party back in the halcyon days of 1997. Man, do I ever miss these days...

Damn!  That's a hell of a party... I was a little young in 1997 to attend events like that, but you'd better believe I would have been there if I was old enough!  And look at that... DJ's who are actually.. DJing!  What a novel concept.

416 21st Ave. South is a 2 story former home built in 1940 that has been expanded  several times to it's current 8,946 sq. ft.  San Antonio Taco has been the tenant for over 30 years.

The brick is distinctive and it's wonderful that they've preserved the big tree in the front yard by building the deck over it.

After over 30 years of occupancy, every piece of wood and drywall must be infused with the smell of great tacos.

The historic Litterer Laboratories Building at 631 2nd Ave. South, which was originally built in 1895 and added onto in 1917, is going to become the home of Blythe-Templeton Academy.  It is a co-ed college prep school based out of Washington DC. It will occupy about 19,000 sq. ft. of the 25,863 sq. ft., 4 story brick structure.

This may be my favorite building in Nashville.

^^^  Like you said, @smeagolsfree, this is significant.  There has to be a catalyst to this.  Wonder who made this happen?  It could be another great story like how Alliance Bernstein settled on Nashville.  If so, there is no end in sight to this type of positive development for Music City.
