Repurposed/revitalized historical buildings in Nashville

438 Houston is a warehouse/factory space originally built around 1905.  A 3,000 sq. ft. portion of it now houses Hemingway's Bar & Hideaway.

1900 Belmont Blvd. is the former main sanctuary of Belmont Heights Baptist Church, and was built in the mid-1950's. Belmont University bought it and repurposed it as McAffee Concert Hall last decade.

1910 Belcourt Ave. was built in 1910.  The onetime 2 story home has been expanded over the years to contain 6,285 sq. ft. and currently houses Cabana restaurant.

We used to have a monthly House Music event there years ago, it's a great space.

323 Broadway covers two stories and 7,108 sq. ft., and was built in 1915.  It houses Music City Showcase.

Built in 1952, the church building at 1601 Martin St. in WeHo has be refurbished, expanded, and renamed Hillcrest Community Church.

There's good coffee at Crest Cafe and the workspace is nice (few distractions).  I've even been served there by a former Bond Coffee Company barista!

The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County will lease one of the two mansions on the property of the former O'More College of Design in Franklin to create the Idea Center, and innovation and entrepreneurship center in the Fleming-Farrah Mansion, which was built in 1901.

3201 Belmont Blvd is a one story series of storefronts built in 1930, covering a cumulative 13,167 sq. ft.  Current tenants include Cognito (pictured), School of Rock, and Iron Tribe.

I bought my living room furniture from there when Nouveau Classics had the space Cognito is in now.

1210 McGavock St. was originally built in 1923 as a garage/warehouse. It covers 7,000 sq. ft. in the single story brick structure. Currently it housed Adele's Restaurant.

811 Gleaves St. contains Scout's Barbershop.  It covers 1,700 sq. ft. and was originally built in 1920 for railroad business warehousing.

209 Broadway was built in 1948, covers 2 stories and 11,040 sq. ft.  Currently is home to Trail West Boots.

Humphreys Street Coffee is located at 424 Humphreys St. in a 2 story, 3,760 sq. ft. former church originally built in 1984.

The one level storefront at 1006 Buchanan was built in 1960, covering 2,080 square ft.  It is now home to one of the Slim & Huskey spin-offs, a bakery called The Roll Out.

217 South 10th Street in East Nashville was built in 1935, and covers 4,552 sq. ft. in its 1 floor brick design.  It currently is home to Explore Community School.

611 9th Ave. South covers 3,000 sq. ft. on one floor, and was originally erected in 1968 as a repair garage.  It is currently home to The Chef & I.

3116 Belmont Blvd. was built in 1935.  The 1 story, 12,000 sq. ft. brick storefront has served as several different grocers during its time, with Osborne's Bi-Rite being the most recent:

207 Broadway is 2 stories tall and covers 6,300 sq. ft.  It was built in 1942 and currently houses the Bootleggers Inn.

909 19th Ave. South  is a 2 story home that was erected in 1910.  It has had some additions over the decades, now covering 3,731 sq. ft. It is home to The Love Shack Recording and Rehearsal Studios now.

444 Humphreys was built in 1925.  The 1,700 sq. ft. space currently houses the Julia Martin Gallery.
