521 5th Ave. South was built in 1900 and stands 2 stories tall. It has 4,865 sq. ft. structure is currently home to Aerial Development.

I don't personally have any particular feelings about the argument, but still find it ironic that their headquarters are housed in such an old historic building considering the massive years-long public outcry about how Aerial seem to summarily sweep through and wipe entire neighborhoods clean of any historic character that might have once existed.

The Stillery (eatery, bar, and live music venue) open it's second Nashville location (other is on 2nd Ave.) in mid-summer in the redeveloped building at 1921 Broadway in Midtown, that was most recently home to Lucy Pop Salon. Built in 1940, this 2 story, 4,904 sq. ft. structure has housed a plethora of businesses in it's 77 years.

I don't mind it being a world's gym, but the renovated exterior takes away its antique feel and honestly makes it look like a new suburban development in an urban area.

Antique feel? More like abandoned eye-sore. Once the Whole Foods is built on the block next door, this area will be crawling with pedestrians. I wish they'd started from scratch and built something with more street activation, but at least the re-purposed building looks nice.

The one-time food processing plant at 601 9th Ave. South is being repurposed into up to three spaces divided between the 11,500 sq. ft.  Commercial or restaurant seem to be the most likely choices. Everything should be done by mid-March.  Originally built in 1969, the structure has been home to many varied businesses in it's 48 years, most recently the roasting facility for Bongo Java.

The former home of West Nashville United Methodist Church at 4708 Charlotte Ave. will be converted into an event space by Dan Cook, who also owns Ruby on Blakemore.  He paid $1.2 million for the .45 acre site that includes the 8,000 sq. ft. structure that was built in 1945.  It is directly across the avenue from Richland Park.

The two story stone cottage at 620 Boscobel St. in the Edgefield neighborhood that was once known as "Hillbilly Heaven" becuase it served as a boarding house for many Country Music legends, is up for sale.  Built in 1930, the 1,700 sq. ft. home has 5 bedrooms that housed folks like Grandpa Jones, the Carter Family, Johnny Paycheck, Carl Smith, Faron Young, Webb Pierce, Stringbean, Stonewall Jackson, Lloyd Green, Buddy Spicher and Hank Cochran were among the hundreds of singers and writers that passed through the doors the home.

Perhaps an investor could see it becoming a Bed and Breakfast again with that music theme.  Host picking parties in the evenings, etc.  Could be cool.
