The one time Piggly Wiggly grocery store on the 1.5 acre site at 3611 Gallatin Pike (at intersection with Baxter Ave.) has been purchased for repurposing by a California investor for $1.55 million.  Looks to place a coffee shop, yoga studio, juice bar and a restaurant/bar among targeted new tenants.  Originally built in 1960, the structure has 10,771 sq. ft. of space.

Storefronts at SW corner of Dickerson Pike and Douglas Ave.  Built around 1925.  Tremendous potential for retail/restaurants as the revitalization of Dickerson Corridor is getting underway.

The stately home at 1911 21st Ave. South has had many businesses in it for the past several decades.  Currently it it Lucy Pop Salon. The 3,552 sq. ft,. 3-story brick building was built in 1910.

One of my favorite buildings along Music Row is up for sale at $2.7 million.  Hope whoever buys 23 Music Square East (at NW corner with Roy Acuff Place) will invest to keep it.  The three story brick structure was built in 1915 and originally served as apartments.  I believe there are still a few inside, but it's mostly music related business in there for the past 50 years.

Progress on The Stillery at 1921 Broadway.  The 4,904 home was originally built in 1940, and the 4,904 sq. ft. 2 story structure is being added upon for this new restaurant/bar.

The 2,700 sq. ft. one-story spot at 815 Meridian St. in Cleveland Park that was built in 1955 will become a new breakfast lunch place called Red Headed Stranger.

The private foundation of shoe company Crocs' co-founder and former CEO George Boedecker Jr. has purchased the home of a South Inglewood church for $2.5 million.  The 22,168 sq. ft. of space between several buildings at 1600 Riverside Dr. in East Nashville was built in 1955.

Pastor Glenda Gleaves Sutton of Family Affair Ministries Fellowship, which is known for its community service, said The Boedecker Foundation is still finalizing plans for the roughly 2-acre property at the corner of Riverside Drive and Porter Road. "The desire is for different organizations to come together and bless the community," she added

The house built in 1961 at 2015 Belmont Blvd. has served several restaurant concepts over the past several decades.  Chago's Cantina is the current resident at the 2 story, 5,242 sq. ft. building:

I've met Glenda a few times, through a different church I used to attend that did outreach with FAM. Really good people. I saw the news article when she decided to move somewhere else and she said it was because she founded FAM to serve the poor, and she feels like the area where they are doesn't really need that service any longer, so she was going to find somewhere that does. Kind of shows how much that neighborhood has changed in a very short amount of time.

Alter'd States women's clothing boutique has just opened in the 5,000 sq. ft. space at 1803 21st Ave. South. Originally built in 1925, this was most recently home to various sports bars in the past several decades.

Yep, it is. The Village lost a huge asset when Sam's closed. Just divey enough, but not gross.

Originally built in 1890 as warehousing/retail space near the riverfront, the two story, 20,494 sq. ft. building at 120 South Third Ave. recently had a third story added, and is now home to the FGL House restaurant/bar.

The Croft House was originally built in 1810, and had additions in 1871, and 1881 for the Grassmere Plantation.  It now serves as an event center of sorts and museum at Grassmere Park Zoo.
