The one time home at 1308 16th Ave. South that was built in 1929 has been the home to Jack's Tracks Studios since 1969.  It was one of half a dozen started by "Cowboy" Jack Clement, and many huge hits have been recorded there, including many by Garth Brooks.  The 6,445 sq. ft. 2 story facility has recently undergone an addition/upgrade, but I'm not sure if all of it is studio related--some appears residential. This was also featured in this thread on July 22, 2017 as some of the construction work was underway.

The David G. Stone Building at 209-213 7th Ave. North was originally built as a YWCA in 1911.  It is 5 stories tall and encompasses 52,918 sq. ft. of space.  It later became office space with a few additons on the backside.  The one time home  of President James K. Polk had been erected on the site in 1815.

The Factory Marketplace (featured initially in this thread on July 13, 2016) at 3814 Charlotte Ave. is making great headway in it's repurposing from the one-time L&L Restaurant Supply Store/Warehouse.  Originally built in 1928, the expansive 52,000 sq. ft. complex (some of it 2 stories in height), will become a mall of retailers, eateries,  and offices.

I thought I'd read earlier that this was to be entirely food spots and small eateries -- sort of a one-stop food court. I'm hopeful that they really have decided to include office and retail, considering the saturation (and demise) of so many new restaurants in Nashville the past couple of years.

wow, no idea. i lived on the other side of the street at academy square from 2010 to 2012 and thought it was a halfway house! lol

Well, you were close - there is one a couple doors down from the Cordelle.     This wonderful Second Empire on Lindsley was in very bad shape but was rehabbed about 10 years ago for use as a facility to provide workforce reentry programs for people upon release from incarceration.

The one time auto repair shop at 1107 Grundy St. that was once part of Hippodrome Oldsmobile for at least 5 decades is being eyed  for leasing/adaptive reuse.  It is located next to 12th & Porter Music Club

The property, which was originally constructed in 1930,  has 13,037 sq. ft. of space and is being marketed for $36 per foot. Powell Architecture + Building Studio has created a couple of renderings  related to the marketing of the property. It faces both Grundy and Porter St., so could have entrances on both sides.

Pretty heavy handed design update. Yuck.

Permits amounting to $7 million for interior and exterior renovations have been granted to Hastings Architecture for the remodeling of the former Ben West Library building. It was built in 1966, but has been sitting empty for 16 years.

I don't understand the obsession with painting brick; it's trendy, tacky and not healthy for the masonry.

HGTV and Pinterest strike again.

My wife has been trying to convince me to paint our brick house ever since we bought it. She, of course, wants to paint it white/grey. I tell her she can paint it when I’m dead.

Now when we all see a mariticide trial on the news in a couple of months where the murder weapons were a Mason jar and a piece of reclaimed pallet wood, we'll at least know the motive.

The Corner Pub in the one-time Church of God Prophecy building at 1105 51st Ave. North in The Nations has been open for a few months now.  The primary structure, built in 1950, has 5,856 sq. ft. of space, but a wrap around deck has been added.  This was featured in this thread July 1, 2017 while it was under construction.

One of the distinctive interior features is this mural of The Last Supper of Country Music:
