The 4 story, 34,900 sq. ft. structure at 333 Union, which was built in 1954, is up for sale.  The agent in charge is trying to entice potential hoteliers to buy and add 4 to 6 stories on top to create yet another boutique brand along 4th Ave. corridor.

Work continues on Ole Reds, which is slated to open in May. The 4 story building at 300 Broadway was originally built in 1926 and has served many businesses and warehousing over it's 92 year existence.  This $20 million, 26,000-square-foot Ryman entertainment venue complete with a two-story bar (inside), a retail shop, a private event space and an upscale rooftop bar.

Hopefully they aren't just going to cover up that 'Broadway National Bank' with a crappy sign like that?

If you zoom in on the photo, it is clearly a temporary sign and says “opening 2018.” I feel certain the signage will be significant and be approximately flashy for its location.

706 Church Street, which currently is taken up by Homewood Suites Hotel, was originally built from 1910-1916 as a 3 story building, and then expanded over the years to it's current 6, covering over 100,000 sq. ft. of space. For many decades it was known as "The Doctors Building" since so many in the medical profession were based there.

I worked in that building for four years when I started with TDOT. The windows on the second floor (obscured by the billboard) were where I worked. I saw a lot of nefarious things happen out on the street over those years.

And the building was a dump at the time. I'm glad to see it so well taken care of.

Built in 1924 at 1011 Woodland St., what was once the Woodland Theater in East Nashville was converted to Woodland Studios in 1966. As a cinema, it had a capacity of 500.  As a studio, artists as far ranging as Wille Nelson, Kansas, Shel Silverstein, Charlie Daniels, Neil Young, Dawes, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gordon Lightfoot, Robert Plant, Indigo Girls, Lou Rawls, JJ Cale, and Aretha Franklin have recorded there.
