The 1950's era Key Motel at 1414 Dickerson Pike is being reimagined as a hip, but affordable  hotel with 26 rooms.  The plan is for it to be funky, fun, and artful.

The large home at 2001 Woodmont that was built in 1950 has been repurposed over the years to serve various non-profits and health institutions.  The modern addition went on in the early 90s, I believe.  Overall, there are 21,455 sq. ft. in the structure which is currently houses M Power Performance.

I was rear-ended by a guy going like 40 directly in front of this building in January. Sitting out in the cold for an hour after the collision has seared this building into my brain ;)

Another former church building in Wedgewood/Houston, the one-time home of Humprheys St. United Methodist, is being converted into a coffeehouse.  Located at 424 Humphreys, the 3,658 sq. ft. structure was built in 1940.

The one-time home at 2301 8th Ave. South, on the SW corner of Bradford Ave. is up for sale.  With over 25,000 sq. ft.  of space, the 1930's era 2 story brick structure that has had a few additions along the way, has been an antique store for at least a decade. Could certainly make a nice restaurant.

Built in 1906, the onetime home of Russell St. Church of Christ at 819 Russell St. might be reinvented as a boutique hotel. The 3 story, 17,000 sq. ft. structure on .56 acres at NW corner of Russell and South 9th St. features Romanesque Revival architecture and sits within the Edgefield Historic Preservation Overlay District.  The surface lot across the street for 70 cars is also included in the property.

Micah Lacher wants to buy the building from current tenant Life Church International (a struggling church) and convert it to a boutique hotel. A recent LoopNet listing has the asking price at $2.195 million.
