Repurposed/revitalized historical buildings in Nashville

1007 Clearview covers 942 sq. ft. on its single floor and was originally built in 1906.  It is currently home to The Treehouse.

^ Did the Treehouse building survive the tornado?    In one photo I saw it looked like it may have suffered significant damage.

1007 18th Ave. South overs 2,249 sq. ft on its 2 floors and was built in 1920.  It is now home to the Dialogue House of Scarritt Bennett.

Rich, Schwartz & Joseph Building 202/204 Sixth Avenue North. The clothing store moved from Fifth Avenue to this newly constructed building in 1936, where it remained until they moved to West End Avenue in 1956.

The Building is currently home to The Library (Fine Wines & Spirits), and Nashville Finance Company.

829 Gale Lane covers 4,588 sq. ft. over its 2 floors, and was built in 1934.  It is now home to Family Trust Services.

Not historical, per se, but nice to see a nondescript cinder block building get a makeover. 1020 3rd Ave. South covers 1,800 sq. ft. on its two floors and was built in 1989.

948 Main St. covers 2,100 sq. ft. on its single floor and was erected in 1939.  It is now home to Crazy Gnome Brewery.

Great. Now we have Crazy Gnome in Nashville and Dancing Gnome in Pittsburgh and Hopping Gnome in Wichita. That's not confusing.

1611 16th Ave. South covers 2,956 sq. ft. over its 2 floors and was built in 1922.  It currently houses Red Griffin Creative.

107 28th Ave. North covers 880 sq. ft. on its single floor. and was built in 1920.  The small home was converted into Family Barbershop many decades ago.

The former factory/warehouse space at 1420 3rd Ave. South on Chestnut Hill (1 floor, 21,098 sq. ft. built in 1950) has been completed.  It is now Saint Elle, an event and creative office space. 

This is what it looked like a year ago before conversion.  A sheet metal warehouse along the west side was razed for parking.

1601 Riverside Drive incorporates 4 storefronts covering 6,762 sq. ft. on its single floor.  It was built in 1950, and has seen recent upgrades and newer tenants including Babo Korean Bar.

2309 12th Ave. South covers 2,402 sq. ft. on its single floor and was built in 1948.  It is currently home to Outdoor Voices.

1006 Whites Creek Pike covers 3,918 sq. ft. and was built in 1920.  It has just been remodeled into 4 new storefronts.

654 West Iris covers 2,151 sq. ft. on its single floor and was built in 1941.  It is now home to Merengue Cafe.

115 19th Ave. South covers 4,000 sq. ft. over its 2 floors and was built in 1912.  It is now home to Fly South.

1810 Hayes St. covers 6,998 sq. ft. over its two floors and was built in 1920.  It is currently home to Hope Clinic.

1322 4th Ave. North covers 3,208 sq. ft. over its 2 floors and was built in 1899.  It is now home to Klein Solomon Law.

718 Division St. covers 2,000 sq. ft. on its single floor and was built in 1956.  It is now home to 8th & Division Events Center.

1004 18th Ave. South covers 4,214 sq. ft. over its 2 floors, and was built in 1917.  It is currently home to Combustion Music.

1907 21st Ave. South covers 4,907 sq. ft. on its 2 floors, and was built in 1910.  It currently houses The Lotus Room Ayurveda.

^^Mark...thanks for sharing so many wonderful photos of all of these cool old houses converted to businesses.  I think it's great that instead of tear-downs replaced with glass boxes...we have neighborhoods that use these houses for businesses.  It's more on the "human scale" and gives Nashville a really cool "reused" vibe.  There are still many old houses converted to businesses on Music Row that are quite amazing...though many have been demolished lately.

2001 Blair Ave.  covers 10,072 sq. ft. over its 2 stories, and was built in 1925.  It is currently home to Morris Highman Management.

2834 Azalea Place covers 1,857 sq. ft. on its single floor, and was built in 1941.  It is currently home to Sunflower Cafe.

935 East Trinity Lane covers 14,215 sq. ft. over its single floor and was built in 1952.  It is now modernized office space.
