Repurposed/revitalized historical buildings in Nashville

Broadway Bull and Bowl is a new 2nd & 3rd floor section of Nashville Underground at 105 Broadway.  The building was built in 1935.

1500 Buchanan St. covers 1,078 sq. ft. over its single floor and was built in 1949.  It is currently home to  Aristocrat Salon.

Update on June 26th entry for 2017 Belmont Blvd. (8,702 sq. ft. over its 3 floors and was built in 1920).  Athens Restaurant now has permanent lighted sign up, new beige exterior paint.

Update on the Nov. 21, 2020 entry on this thread about 1315 Dickerson Pike.  It covers 2,640 sq. ft. over its 2 floors and is now home to both Coneheads Restaurant and Plane Jane Cocktail Bar.

2315 12th Ave. South covers 4,872 sq. ft. over its single floor and was built in 1930.  It is now home to Faherty Clothing (was formerly Rim Hair Salon).

207 McMillin St. covers 6,250 sq. ft. over its single floor and was built as an auto repair garage in 1984.  It is now home to The Fit Factory.

Taylor Place (repurposing of former 2 story factory built in 1930s into 100,000 sq. ft. of office space): Exterior complete; and interior looks ready for tenants to build-out sections.

139 2nd Ave. North covers 2,900 sq. ft. over its two floors and was built in 1995. It has served several fast food chains, and is the brand new home of The Chicken Guy (Guy Fieri's restaurant).

1200 Porter Rd. covers 2,100 sq. ft. over its single floor and was built in 1963.  It is now home to Tabla Rasa Toys.

Not repurposed...but definitely repaired/restored: 1600 Holly St., Holly Street Fire Hall (circa 1914) fully functional again after severe damage from 2020 tornado:

This is truly a GREAT thread! I really enjoy seeing what can be done to preserve existing structures, rather than demolishing good bones to build crappy, cheap looking Anywhereville, USA stuff. Nashville continues to do a superb job with this.

Franklin Theater at 419 Main St. in Franklin was built in 1937, and fully remodeled/updated 10 years ago for $8 million.

120 21st Ave. North covers 2,100 sq. ft. over its single floor and was built in 1962.  It has changed again for the 2nd time in less than a year into Music City Hotdogs.

919 Gallatin Ave. covers 14,500 sq. ft. over its single floor and was built in 1980.  It is now home to 919  Studios.

927 Woodland now covers 18,000 sq. ft. over its 2 stories (second recently added to  circa 1958 structure). It is now home to Up-Down Arcade/Bar.

2816 Bransford Ave. covers 1,712 sq. ft. over its single floor and was built in 1941.  It is currently home to The Beaded Bungalow.

2500 12th Ave. South originally covered 3,761 sq. ft. on its single floor as a dry cleaners that was built in 1961.  Another 1,000 sq. ft. has been added and it will open soon as The Emery restaurant.

1025 17th Ave. South covers 3,205 sq. ft. over its 2 floors and was built in 1927.  It is now home to various hair salons.

2828 Bransford Ave. covers 1,350 sq. ft. over its single floor and was built in 1942.  It is currently home to Nashville Cosmetic Dentistry.

Why would they pave right up to the doors and windows of this place?  I could have been a decent replacement of the dry cleaners, but asphalt is not appealing or appetizing in my opinion.

1023 17th Ave. South has had a facelift of its 2 story, 8 apartment structure that was built in 1980.  It is now known as The Lyric on Music Row.

2806 Bransford Ave., covers 1,400 sq. ft. over its single floor and was built in 1939. It is currently home to Island Hoppers Scuba.

4400 Charlotte Ave. covers 3,912 sq. ft. over its single floor and was built in 1957 as a service station/garage.  It is now the home of a Smokin' Thighs BBQ location for West Nashville.
