Spectrum | Emery Inc. has offered specifics and has released an image for its 18th & Chet office building planned for Music Row. The 10-story building, to anchor the northeast corner of 18th Avenue South and Chet Atkins Place, will span about 130,000 square feet, with Nashville-based Earl Swensson Associates to serve as architect.

Spectrum | Emery has the multi-parcel property under contract and hopes to close on the purchase by August’s end. David Wells, Spectrum | Emery vice president, told NBJ the company expects to ask about $38 per square foot.

An early to mid-2018 completion date is being eyed.      --Nashville Post, June 23, 2016

Excited to eventually try out the culinary delights at The Restaurant.

LOL, the way they name some buildings here I wouldn't be surprised if it is called that. If anything, the office needs to be renamed as well to something like Chet 18.

Really like the design of this, so I will be surprised if it ever happens haha.

Never a good sign when there are dozens of cars in the rendering and only two pedestrians on the street and the rest of the people are confined to a narrow slice of the building the rest of which seems to be a giant parking garage/auto showroom. Wait, is this a new car dealership? Because that would make sense.

From today's Nashville Post:

Spectrum | Emery Inc. and Hall Capital are targeting a groundbreaking by February’s end on its 18th and Chet office building (pictured) in Music Row. The site, located at the northeast corner of 18th Avenue South and Chet Atkins Place, has been cleared of the rubble from a recent demolition effort and is now fenced and secured.

Pat Emery, Spectrum | Emery president, said January and February “will be busy months for the 18th and Chet development, construction and leasing teams. “ESa, our architect, will be finishing the bid set of plans, which will then go to the market for pricing,” Emery said. “Hopefully by the end of February, depending on what we see, we will award, contact and start construction.”

Spectrum | Emery Vice President David Wells is handling the marketing and leasing efforts, with the building’s spaces expected to command up to $38 per foot.

A mid-2018 completion for the 10-story 130,000-square-foot building is still being targeted, Emery said.

Wow! That's already a dense corner. I didn't realize this one will be so close to the Artisan and the Morris.

I don't know how in the world you guys remember the names of all of these new buildings!

Btw...when they build these basically on Music Row...they really should give them names like "The Patsy"..."The George"..."The Loretta"..."The Wynette"..."The Dolly"...etc ;)

From Nashville Post:

Spectrum | Emery Inc. and Hall Capital have landed a major permit for their 18th & Chet office/retail building, on which ground recently broke in Music Row/Midtown. The permit is valued at about $15.4 million, with Nashville-based The Parent Co. serving as construction manager.

The site, located at the northeast corner of 18th Avenue South and Chet Atkins Place, is undergoing excavation for foundation work. Pat Emery, Spectrum | Emery president, said in January a mid-2018 completion for the 10-story 130,000-square-foot building is being targeted.

Spectrum | Emery Vice President David Wells is handling the marketing and leasing efforts, with the building’s spaces expected to command up to $38 per foot. Nashville-base ESa is the architect.
