Finally.  On the agenda for Tuesday's (03/26) Planning Commission is an amendment to the zoning  (University Neighborhood Overlay) for West Campus that would allow for 300' towers.  Pass it, and they will come.   We will then see 29 and 30-story apartment buildings instead of all these 17 and 18-story buildings with the current 175' height limit.

Amazon confirmed that they are adding 800 Tech jobs to their Austin workforce in their third Domain building - Domain 10.  The rest of their Domain work force is in Domain 7 and 8.  Domain 10 is the U/C building in the background.  This will increase Amazon's total Austin workforce to about 7,500.

Here are some renderings of the Standard in West Campus.  It may be U/C by now.

That cluster of 17 and 18-story buildings at the edge of the photo at upper-left is West Campus.  Fortunately an update to the zoning for that area is currently going through the City's bureaucracy that would allow for 300' towers.

Towers found a couple renderings of the Cambria hotel proposed for the Rainey St. Entertainment district.  It's currently awaiting city approval and too short to make my list of projects.  The empty site to the left of the Cambria is a future Fairfield Inn of similar height which is also awaiting city approval.  The U/C building to the left of the Fairfield site is a 17-story Homewood Suites hotel that opened in January.  We'll call this Budget Hotel Row.  But to the immediate right of the Cambria is the site of a local boutique chain's Lady Bird Hotel which should be rather nice.

In a few years the Domain which is 10+ miles North of downtown will have a nice cluster of high-rises.  The first 300'+ towers allowed under new zoning for increased heights are working their way through the city's approval process.  The Domain III office tower is 330' per this new FAA filing:  FAA Link

Here's  a new 16-story office building for Horizon Bank's new HQ.  It's a waste of air space because the site doesn't have a height limit.

Here's the site plan:  https://abc.austintexas.gov/web/permit/public-search-other?t_detail=1&t_selected_folderrsn=12173490&t_selected_propertyrsn=128678

Even though it's a waste of air space, it's an improvement over what's there now.  From Streetview:

Here's an excellent drone aerial of the Domain in North Austin.

This is a still from the drone video.  At far right is the expanding Charles Schwabb campus.  The six mid-rises to the left of that is the IBM campus a.k.a Broadmoor, which will be developed into a mixed use project and include towers nearly 400' tall.

The City Council voted to direct the City Manager to move forward with an ambitious plan to expand the convention center by more than 1 million Sq. Ft.  The city hired the University of Texas to do a study and come up with some expansion options.  The City chose Scenario 5 in the study which has two phases.

Here's Phase I.  The first expansion will be on parts off three blocks immediately West (to the right in this rendering) of the current convention center.  It will go deeper and higher to maximize square footage.  It will also have street level retail to help avoid it from becoming a dead zone.  It will also have a roof top public park.

Here's Phase II.  It calls for the demo of the current CC and to rebuild it deeper and higher and include privately constructed towers.  The orientation will be shifted toward Waller Creek and an upgraded and expanded public park next to the current Fairmont Hotel.

Amazon is expanding again in Austin.  They are leasing the rest of the U/C Domain 10 office building.  They were previously only leasing several floors.  Sources also state that Amazon is also leasing the U/C Domain 9 office building (330,000 Sq. Ft.).
