Acquisition Group was DAYS from breaking ground on this project before it was delayed due to the pandemic and now being rezoned to 40 stories. The new timeline for this project is now 4th quarter 2022 or early 2023. The project will have more residential (as in a taller project overall) but expect the project to look the same overall.

Downtown Raleigh in 2023 will be covered in cranes.

When I was a kid and my parents asked me to do something, I was always “just about to do it.” Take that with a grain of salt

The Nexus is expected to have up to 2,425 residential units and  1.44 M sq ft of office space.

That can't be possible, even if this site is huge, and even if they get the 40 story zoning. That would have to be a 40 story office tower with 40k sqft floor plates, and about five 40 story residential towers...

It's just the assumed maximum. The real amount will probably be around 600 to 800 residential units. The 35 story The Eastern in North Hills has 376 units.

One thing I love about this project is that it will help, just a little, to extend the skyline in the East/West direction. Right now it's sort of linear along a North/South line.
