I changed the status to U/C, and the crane is still on schedule to go up in three weeks.

These are from about two weeks ago.  One of the buildings to be demo'ed for 44 East tower is pictured on the left in the photos and shows how close these two buildings will be.  They are basically touching each other up to the top of the 44 East podium.

STG Design posted some new renderings of this project as a Natiivo property.  The first view will never be a reality because the nearly 600' 44 East condo tower will be going up on the site immediately next to this and the other tower in the foreground.

According to a city permit, the tower crane was rescheduled for installation to this coming weekend.

is this tower all Airbnb rentals?  Was it developed as apartments with emphasis on Airbnb rentals or just all Airbnb rentals?

This is a new concept for Airbnb.  This and one in Miami are the first two.  The condo owners are not allowed to live in their condo for more than 30 days per year and must rent them out for the other 11 months.  Airbnb will furnish and maintain the units.  I'm not sure about that arrangement, but the units are 30% reserved.  Also, the tower crane was scheduled to go up this weekend.

Interesting. I am Airbnb host in Hilton Head but this is very interesting concept.  Almost like the condo hotels but have to rent them out more.   Coming to Austin in 2020 for a visit.

The crane is up.  The rubble in front of the crane is for Natiivo's next door neighbor - the 50-story 44 East condo tower.

Just an FYI correction.

Condo owners are not allowed to stay in unit for more than 30 consecutive days in a row (Not limited to 30 days per year). So, the owner could darn near live there year round, just be out one day per month. I have a 2 bedroom under contract. Plan to use it year round as a 2nd home and rent it out otherwise. The hotel staff can rent/manage it for me for a fee or I can rent it on Airbnb myself for the normal much lower fee.

Well, that could make all the difference in deciding to buy a unit.  I'm surprised that has not been made more clear outside of the sales office.

This seems to be going up a little quicker than other projects.  Going up next door on the on the left is the awesome 50-story 44 East tower.
