Austin | Hotel ZaZa & Residences | 305' | 24-Stories | Complete 2019

The ATX

Recommended Posts

Demolition was completed and site prep got underway for this project, but the site prep stopped.  Problems with underground utilities were part of the reason for the stoppage, but there have not been any recent updates from the developer.  I hope this gets back on track because ZaZa is a cool boutique brand, and the building would stand out among all of the glass towers going up.  These renderings are from the architect's website:

I updated the renderings in the OP because the original links to the architect's website were broken.  The new links to the renderings at the architect's website show a 16/17-story building.  The site plan was updated in October, and there is a mention that this project is 25-stories.  Published articles state that this is 24-stories.  So I don't know if any accurate renderings are available.

Here's another view.  The crane in the background is the Austin Proper crane going up a few days ago.

I'm not exactly sure what this project will look like.  It's had some ups and downs and different renderings.  But this one is probably closer to reality that the ones in the OP:
