The architects are presenting this project to the Design Commission on Monday.  But there are no renderings!  This is just a courtesy presentation because this was a done deal in the original Greenwater development agreement with the city.  We have new elevations though.  There a slight differences from previous elevations, but they are not obvious without renderings.

We've known since January that Google leased this entire building.  But they didn't officially acknowledge it until this week.  Google confirms the lease and that they have big expansion plans for Austin in this Statesman article.  But they won't say by how much they plan to expand their Austin workforce.  Google has 1.1K employees in a neighboring tower known informally as Google Tower #1.  Google says those 1.1K employees will stay in their current building when this tower and a third U/C building on the East side of downtown is completed.  That third building is only seven-stories, so Google Tower #3 hasn't really caught on.  :)

wow that is one deep hole for the garage I would imagine.  How many levels of underground parking 10?

It's only six levels.  But that's the deepest pit I've ever seen in Austin.  Most projects don't go deeper than five levels of underground parking.
