In this new rendering, the north side of the tower is 28 stories.  It does appear that the south portion (which also includes balconies on each floor) is taller, but it is unclear if it and additional 4 stories to reach the 32 that has been announced. 

Really like the stacking effect of the tower.

This structure is going to play even taller on the skyline because the crest of this bluff overlooking the Cumberland River is at least 50 feet taller than the intersection of 1st Ave. South and KVB, which will add about another 4 or 5 stories to the perceived height in comparison with the rest of the skyline on the eastern side of downtown.

Guaranty Home Mortgage has landed a $3.7 million permit for build-out of their 47,000 sq. ft. on 8th and 9th floors at Peabody Plaza. 

Also, Tennessee Band & Trust has landed a permit for $719,000 for work on their  9th floor offices at the building, as well as $201,000 for their branch office on the first level.

In all cases, Brasfield & Gorrie will be handling the work.

Walked this the other day. It is really a shame this building doesn’t activate Peabody Street at all. All of the guts and service stuff is along that section. Huge missed opportunity in my opinion to pull people into the district from Hermitage.

I was hoping as they got closer to the finish line that this one would grow on me.....nope. The full height glass at the corners add a different dynamic, but it ultimately feels odd and out of place. Unfortunate, but it is what it is.....

I like the pattern, but feel it would look much better on a tower that is taller and more slender.

Looks like a suburban office park building.  Would look better in Metro center or the airport area.  Even on Charlotte Pike.  But not in the CBD.

I don't think it looks good by itself since it's too blocky and wide, but I think it'd look alright with some taller buildings around it. Though I guess if they're TOO tall, it would also look out of place so idk.
