Nice brands by Hilton that hit the mark on exactly what the market is missing (good product at an affordable rate). The only thing I could offer as a recommendation would be to build it twice as big. The demand is there, especially for this price point.

Seems most everything being built downtown...as far as hotels and offices...are being built conservatively.

The design didn't look too bad in black and white, but the color scheme is not good. Also not feeling great about the architect taking the time to render power lines.

You're right. I would have thought, by now, the lenders would not be so bearish on Nashville. When you look at how everyone says that it is easier to build a focus service property versus a full service/luxury property you would almost expect a higher room count. Looking at the rendering I don't see space for parking. I am guessing that would be underground or on the backside of the building.

The Tennessean's take on the new Tru Hotel and Home2 Suites combo structure at 504 5th Avenue South, plus another interior rendering, a shot of the current Cabaret Royale strip club, and Googlemap of location.  This will be directly south of the block that will include the Marriott Tri-Brand, Holiday Inn, and The Joseph Hotel, and catty-corner to the Margaritaville Hotel which will be just to the NW on the opposite corner of 5th and Peabody:

Not complaining about the infill, but these boxy 10-15 story hotels with the signature cupola are all starting to look the same.

As we've seen with most (if not all) of these reasonably priced hotels, exterior design really cuts into their bottom line. At the very least, they are mixing up the color scheme.
