^^Help me understand why some of these hotel owners / developers spend millions on a piece of land in an area where room rates are some of the highest in the nation with occupancy rates super high as well...and you only build 10 stories.  It just seems overly conservative.

construction prices are also very high and GCs are at a premium. Each floor is additional millions in construction costs, and I expect some developers are expected a correction in room rates.

While this isn't the most thrilling or exciting design for a hotel in Nashville, I can tell you that in St. Louis, we would be gushing over this for a while and be happy that a developer is actually building something new in our general Downtown area. I think this looks "ok" but this should've been taller and could've lost some of that cheap panel cladding. In my opinion, some more brick would've done the trick but that's my two-sense. I'm sure it will do great once it opens.

Is it possible to pass an ordinance that bans the use of brown or cream-colored cladding within the CBD? Seriously. You would think we learned our lesson after the hideous Hyatt Place. 

Regardless, this is not the best looking hotel, but I'm glad we have this much-needed infill.

Hopefully the expansion will continue rolling through SoBro, and the one-story building in this pic will be facing the bull dozers soon.

Nice brick (so far) and the windows are a refreshing departure from the full glass windows on so many new hotels. Actually looks old-style.

As far as these cheap hotels being built along KVB go, I think this one is my favorite just for the brick.

All these power lines and poles are such an eyesore! Can we not just bury them, especially if they are 12 feet from the building?!?

Looking real sharp. With the completion of this one, Holiday Inn, Margartiraville and the YeeHaw Beer garden this will be quite the corridor along Peabody. 

Looks like they are planing plenty of lighting along that frontage wall too. Thats exciting!

I don't see that one being one of the less expensive offerings on KVB. Also, I'm really looking forward to seeing how that one shapes up!
