It is a very interesting building in a lot of ways. Most aggressive architecture in any city is mostly reserved for civic buildings. This is a hotel, where the real money is made in well appointed rooms. Bravo of them to care about creating something unique. There are a lot of very creative moves in the facade of this building that are thoughtful and add a ton of character.

I hadn't noticed until just now that the windows also incorporate that angled design that's implemented throughout the building's exterior. So yes, it is another "box" -- but credit to the designers for putting effort and a few extra bucks into making it a more interesting box.

You can see the guys working on the side of the building to install the gray exterior panels.  Looks like the have the right third already done. There's 2 crews starting at the top of the remaining section of this wall.

Although the random window patterns quite nearly give me anxiety, I believe, as it comes together, the finished product will be more pleasant to look at than I had expected. I had visualized the angles as a whole running together, making it look like any other box from a distance. It stands out nicely, though. A welcome addition!

I really like the design of this but I kinda wish the upper portion was white instead of the silver. The renderings made the upper portion look much lighter.

Watching it go up with the white protective film on the siding really made the design pop and stick out on KVB. The silver just doesn't have the same effect.
