The very best solution to any questions regarding development maps is the one built and maintained by Smeagolsfree on this very site. I think he might be bashful about tooting his own horn on this---but it is BY FAR the best map of it's type for Nashville.  Here's the link.  Bookmark it and check it often---it is invaluable.

https://www.urbanplanet.org/forums/development-maps/nashville-development-map/

A screen shot of just the few blocks in discussion here shows all the activity either underway or about to happen.  When you click on each piece of property on the actual map (not the screen shot), a box opens with all the basic info about the structure, renderings, the developer, and a link to a news story.

As always, big kudos to Smeagolsfree for his tireless work on continually updating this wonderful resource.  : )

THANK YOU!! I was trying to find this.

Yes!    I had been using the link on the Nashville Development Map thread, which is to an older, or different, version of Smeagol's map.    I could never figure out how Mark was clipping these labeled and color-coded images.    I've now bookmarked the new link.    Well done, Ron!

Not saying that it will, but IMO, it would be disappointing if this one fell through.

Out of all of the hotels along/south of KVB (Marriott, Holiday Inn, Margaritaville, Drury, etc.), The Joseph will be most critical in distracting from the now out of place Hampton Inn, with it being perpendicular to Hampton and across from the Omni.

Locked article from the Nashville Post:

Sale date extended for SoBro site eyed for boutique hotel

Pizzuti now hopes to acquire Nashville Symphony property by year's end

AUTHORS William Williams

The sale of the Nashville Symphony-owned SoBro property on which Columbus, Ohio-based Pizzuti Cos. is targeting for its boutique hotel The Joseph has been extended to year’s end.

The transaction was to have closed in May, with Pizzuti hoping to have broken ground by the end of summer.

The building will be located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Fourth Avenue South and Korean Veterans Boulevard.

When contacted about the hoped-for May closing, Nashville Symphony officials emailed the Post noting the transaction is slated to close on the 0.75-acre parcel by Dec. 31 and declined further comment.

Pizzuti Cos. had been eyeing an early summer groundbreaking.

Joel Pizzuti, president of The Pizzuti Cos., could not be reached for comment. He told the Post in May the company was finalizing design details for the building.

The Joseph will be part of Marriott’s high-end The Luxury Collection brand. A similar Pizzuti Cos. hotel in Columbus (now two years old and a part of Marriott’s Le Meridien brand) in operation, will serve as a model of sorts. Architectural Digest in late 2014 placed the hotel, also called The Joseph, on its “11 of the Best New Hotels Around the World” list.

Columbus-based The Pizzuti Companies — which is seeking to buy SoBro property on which it wants to develop a boutique hotel — has landed two permits related to sewer and water services for The Joseph Hotel project.

It also says this:

However, it is unclear as to when the company might close on the purchase of the property owned by Nashville Symphony.

But in any event, it's at least good to know this project isn't dead.

Nashville can expect a formal announcement soon that will reveal the finalized plans, financing and construction timeline for a proposed $140 million luxury hotel in SoBro, which has been the focal point of the city's real estate boom and its proliferation of hotels.

For almost three years, Columbus, Ohio-based developer Pizzuti Cos. has pursued property owned by the Nashville Symphony along Korean Veterans Boulevard. Pizzuti's plans call for a 297-room hotel named The Joseph Nashville, which would be independently owned and part of The Luxury Collection (now a Marriott brand, after that company acquired Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide).
