This is so unbelievably tacky.

Seems like this kind of oddball attraction could go either way. It could be really clever and actually be a fun draw for tourists, or it could look like something that belongs at the entrance of Paradise Park on Broadway. My hope is that the developers wouldn't invest all that money just to cap it with a trashy Greyhound bus.

Either way, it will be fun to be downtown to watch them hoist that thing up to the top of the hotel.

More exciting news for Printers Alley.  This is smart to have visibility right on the alley.

Owners of the soon-to-open Bobby Hotel on Fourth Avenue downtown have announced a spring opening for Bobby’s Garage, a bar that will offer an entrance via Printer’s Alley. It will mirror the boutique hotel’s “gritty chic ambiance and rock and roll persona.”

Bobby’s Garage mimic the interior of a garage workshop. Elements will include a garage door entrance, lamps made from gas pumps, chairs converted from oil cans, ceramic graffiti bathroom tiles and an 18-seat main bar composed of concrete, cinderblocks and forged fire doors.

The intimate bar will also feature a small removable stage lit by car headlights and a soundtrack of alternative, indie rock and classic rock music.

This will make at least 5 new bars/entertainment venues to be added into the Printers Alley mix once the Hotel Indigo bar, and 3 new Dream Hotel properties are open.  On top of this, there will be Bill Miller's updating of Skull's Rainbow Room, and whatever he has planned for the recently purchased Turf Club Building (rumors that it might be an Elvis Presley Museum), and all the restaurants opening on 3rd Ave. North are going to make this a hopping entertainment district again.
