Yeah, I'm sure the team is just going to be crushed when they learn they don't have the support of Karen over here.   How... HOW I say, is this team going to support itself without her seven dollars worth of white wine juice box purchases from the concession stands every home game?

Based on the photos, I hadn't realized they were going to dig that deep for the stadium. Is the playing surface itself going to be that far below ground level?

Here's a screenshot of a video I took, they dug down a fair amount.

It's hard to tell from the renderings I've seen so far but I think it's supposed to be below the surrounding courtyard. Probably like Nissan but not nearly as much.

That's quite a shot! They're really going at it. I'm counting over 20 machines actively working the site! (including dump trucks but not pickup trucks).

It looks like the team has a real shot at making the playoffs in its inaugural season, which would be quite the accomplishment.  And that goal by Rios the other night against Dallas was as sweet a move you'll ever see.

Another enjoyable angle of this: FC Cincinnati fans claimed Nashville was undeserving of MLS and years behind them. Now, we have a good shot at the playoffs, they are the worst team in the league, and their leadership is saying they are 2 to 3 years away from being competitive.

Turning out to be a great season. Team has a great defense that can help it to hang with most anyone, and is now finding a little more offense. Still not close to its potential.

So I grew up as a hockey fan and knew how hard and long it would take for the Preds to actually amount to a competitor in the NHL.  And while it happened, it took many many years to accomplish.

Is making the playoffs the first year in MLS a huge ordeal?  Looks like they take a lot of teams for playoffs but NSC is doing quite well!

It is very hard in the MLS for an expansion team to make the playoffs. In the league's 25 year history, only 1998 Chicago Fire and Miami Fusion, 2009 Seattle Sounders, 2017 Atlanta United, and 2018 LAFC have made the playoffs. The fact that EVERYONE labeled NashvilleSC as the worst team in the league is also great too.
